Born in 1132, began sailing at the young age of 7. Whilst I was traveling the high seas, we became surrounded by pirates in 1143. Now it’s 1144 and I, being 12, joined a crew, THE ORDER OF THE BARNACLE….
Deianeira is the daughter of Don Alajandro Eustachius Rodríguez de la Toledo (descendant of Don Rodrigo) and Doña Constance Teresa Aragonés de Madrid. For many years, Alajandro and Constance hoped to be graced with a child—but to no avail. Then, in their seventh year, on the holy feast day of St. Carmen (July 16), Constansa bore a daughter to the Rodríguez family line. She was given the name Deianeira—the feminine aspect of Deunoro—meaning All Saints and Christened with the name of her patron saint, Carmen.
I am a merchanting wench who has tendencies to be a bit odd at times. My father was French and my mother Welsh, and I was raised by both in Wales. Being from a poor family, I have learned to make my own way in life by making and selling my jewelry pieces at local markets and faires. I also make bath salts, milks, lotions and perfumes for the Ladies.
My mother was Manx and my father a Viking—needless to say I didn’t see much of him. But I heard a lot of stories about him. I lived with my mother most of my life. One winter, when the Northmen came a Viking, I manages to steal one’s heart. Lord Eirik Haarfager Göransson took me into his house hold of Odlahorde, where we are raising our family.

I was named for Rhodri the Great’s daughter. She married Olwein and ruled Glamorgan for a time. It was hoped that I would be strong as she was. I am a shepherdess living at Castell y Bere. I have a small flock that I tend where I spin the wool, and use the milk to make cheeses. Some of both are used at the castle.
